Description

Based on the Bram Stoker Award nominee short story by acclaimed author Joe R. Lansdale, Bubba Ho-tep tells the "true" story of what really did become of Elvis. We find the King (Bruce Campbell) as an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home, who switched identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his "death", then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis teams up with Jack (Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home resident who thinks that he is actually President John F. Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility as his happy hunting grounds...

Everything a movie should be ,incredibly original, vastly entertaining, excitement matched with equal humor, superb acting, and such a heartfelt message, brings tears every time. I love a good cult movie. And this is a perfect example

I'm fond of any movie that puts together people off all races without being about race. This was a hilarious and sad and spooky little film. I'm so glad I saw this little independent flick that gives me hope that there are still some really creative producers out there not after the big bucks. It's been a while since I laughed out loud so hard. I did not see the end coming--but in the end, all we really have is our soul and our dignity.
  • A Classic, To Be Sure

I love this movie, I have not met a person who has not liked it(though I'm sure there are people out there) but watch this funny, sad, and scary movie.
