Description

10 mph is an inspirational comedic documentary that follows a pair of aspiring filmmakers as they quit their jobs and turn a friend's ludicrous idea into a movie. The impulsive purchase of a two-wheeled Segway scooter sets this story in motion when the two friends decide to travel from Seattle to Boston at 10 mph in an attempt to change their lives forever... What ensues is a road trip like none other with a haphazard cast of characters you could only find on a zany 100-day trek through America's back roads. Each poignant story the two friends discover along the way inspires a craving inside to go out and do that thing you're supposed to do.

Short: This movie isn't just about taking a Segway from coast to coast, its more of an eye opener of the lifestyles of Americans all across the country. This movie features some good laughs, great scenery shots, and a very solid story line. I found it to be one of my favorite documentaries. Longer: I have always wanted to see a documentary where normal joes go out and create something that they aren't sure about. This movie hits that perfect. Hunter Weeks and Josh Caldwell do that perfectly, where they are able to leave their corporate america jobs and go do something amazing. Yes, these two don't have any background in film making as to what I know, but they truly know how to make a movie, bringing a smile to someones face, and finding more out to a person than many would be able to know. I highly recommend this movie if you are into movies that explore different lifestyles of many around the country. This movie isn't just about riding a Segway across America. It's more like trying to open the eyes of Americans at other walks of life.

This is a nice little slice-of-life movie that gives one the experience of a cross-country road trip. I loved the scenery, the stories...hell, I loved pretty much everything about this documentary.

Very mind-blowing! These guys did what many people only fantasize about doing. Giving up their comfortable lives with their corporate jobs to travel across America certainly takes guts - and is very entertaining to watch
