  • It's not quite the same

I can understand that they have been going for a very long time like around 12 years. That's really long for a tv show. They have kinda ran low on the myth part of mythbusters. And I really miss the liveliness grant, Tory, and Kari brought to the show. I kinda hated to see them leave mythbusters. But 14 seasons with the official build team was great.

Although I miss the B-team I am really enjoying the new format of the show. Particularly the "hows" tha are now included. For example instead of just saying "I made this whip", auctucally watching Adam make the whip and explain the process was very interesting and enjoyable. Cant wait to see future shows.
  • I will always love this show

While people complain that this is no longer "MythBusters" if they were true fans they'd know that the show only consisted of Adam and Jamie. I will miss the build-team but I know some of them have had conflicts with Discovery. This season has had a good start but we will see how it goes.

The old shows had science and technology in them. The would prove things and show cool builds. In this new season it's about two old guys having fun recreating video games and tv shows. The old shows were 10x better. Please bring back the old shows!

I was excited about the shows new format after watching the preview that showcased Adam’s whip making process. I kept hearing about the updates to the show on Adam’s podcast and wanted to see it, but didn’t know that the episodes were on iTunes. After finding the show here, I purchased the season pass, and I’m glad I did. The builds, personalities, and production value are the reason I like to watch the show. I am a huge fan of the in-depth explanation for each of the builds. I also love the capture and editing. It feels like you can see at least 2 or 3 cameras somewhere in every shot. I’ll bet the editors get about 10 terabytes of footage a week to sort through, and they do an amazing job putting everything together. The entire season pass is available for the price of a single movie ticket. I can’t argue with that. If you love watching the builds and explanations behind how everything works, then you should enjoy this season as much as I do.
  • 6 Episodes?

How can a show only run for a month and be called a season pass - in what world is 6 episodes a season??? I’d get it if they made one every couple of months or something, but the whole season being finished a month after it started is pretty messed up...
  • Way better!

I still kinda miss the treo, but not nearly as much as I thought I was going to. The new format is a so well done that I would not want them to change back. Love the new more indepth approach. Keep it up!
  • Continues to be good television.

Despite the loss of the build team, which I miss, it's still a great show. Adam and Jamie deliver on a more in depth look at the science and build process. The episode intros are entertaining and the new cameras are fantastic.
  • Overall...

I really like the new format. Spending more time on the nuts and bolts of the myth/story, along with the fact that they’re showing the missteps again, adds a dose of realism that had crept out. I do miss the Intrepid Trio, however.
  • Who took the REAL mythbusters?

I remember watching the very first season 17 episode. There was no Kari, Grant, and Tory. I thought "oh they'll be back they couldn't be gone." Then the next episode and I started questioning my first thoughts on them returning. Than I read the comments and I knew that the real mythbusters show had ended at a mere 16 seasons. First off Kari, Grant, and Tori were one of my favorite parts of mythbusters and they took that away then next thing you know they've tried to re-do the intro, pop-ups, and physics explanation and they TOTALY KILLED IT. The real mythbusters have become a myth like they used to test. Who killed this wonderful show that I used to love where did it God please bring back the REAL mythbusters.
