MythBusters, Season 18

I have to admit that I’m still feeling the loss of M7. However, Jamie and Adam have hit their stride in this season. The myths and following stories are better developed. Adam is, of course, Adam. And we see more of Jamie’s personality than I think we ever have before. Overall, it’s a good season for the Mythbusters.

Watched these shows since season 1 for entertainment and to pick the “experiments” apart to see how recklessly flawed most of them are. A montage of the doh! moments would be hilarious. These guys are Makers doing science but the thing is, they are bad amateur scientists, and, to their own shame, they usually fail to consult with scientists (who are abundant at their local universities), or even a basic science book, about how to perform the experiments they do perform. When they revisit things they blew in previous episodes, it isn’t to get the real DOH! mistakes they made corrected, but things where they can trumpet how good their first experiment was. It’s reasonable entertainment, terrible science and weekly self-promotion. Then again, it’s a reflection of American culture and U.S. TV and the dumbed down level of the average TV viewer.

I purchased the season pass expecting to watch the newest episodes the day after they released, except for whatever reason Ep. 3 “Accidental Ammo” has yet to be released, 5 days and counting.

Love the show, but Discovery Channel is dropping the ball on getting the episodes out on time. Probably not going to buy the next season if this is how they treat their season pass suckers.

I thought this was a season pass, but it's been 5 days since the last episode aired and it still isn't on here. In past seasons the episode would be up just hours after it aired.

its a great show!! but why is there an issue with releasing episodes on time ?? where is the latest one??

The past several seasons I have purchased the season pass with very little issue on getting an episode the very next day. However, for some reason, the Discovery Channel has decided to buck that trend and make us wait for episode 3. Though I think, so far this “season” has been better than last’s, Mythbuster’s has lost a bit of its fun these last two seasons.

I agree 100% that the episodes should be released in a consistent fashion. The episodes are usually released the day after 1st airing. Lets keep it consistent, i paid for a season pass and i am dying to watch the latest episode!!!

Ok... I purchased my season pass... Where is the latest episode? I agree with the previous post; if you are going to charge me $15 for the season, the least you could do is post the episodes in a timely manner!!!

Episode 3 was released last weekend and it’s not yet up on iTunes… The first two episodes were released on iTunes the morning after airing… What’s going on?!
