Jim Jefferies is an edgy, foul mouthed stand-up comedian from Australia, in his mid-30s and living in LA, struggling to make his life and career more "legit," only to find it a difficult, uncomfortable uphill struggle every step of the way. Jim is encouraged in his quest by Steve, his neurotic best friend and roommate, a cyber law library salesman who struggles to stay on his feet in the wake of a divorce, and Steve’s brother, Billy, who suffers from advanced staged Muscular Dystrophy and is confined to a wheelchair.

  • Finally…..something original!

Was hesitant to watch this at first as the ads were not very good. Once I watched a couple episodes, I was hooked. Finally, something original and always funny. The show keeps delving into political incorrectness…….but in a way that works. This is worth purchasing.

This is the best show on TV! If you're a fan of Jim Jefferies stand up then you will absolutely love how his jokes are put on the show. Not only does this show have laugh out loud comedy it also has moments of powerful friendship, sacrifice, and love. The season finale “Fatherhood" had a lot of soul hitting moments. To rap it up this show has lots of laughs and a lots of heart. Buy the season, you won't regret it!

I get the feeling that this show is the perfect reflection of who Jim Jefferies really is - funny and inappropriate yet touching at the same time. I am so glad I bought the season.

Who would have thought that Seinfeld meets behind the scenes at the special olympics would be funny (Seinfeld not that funny), but it is. Hillariously takes on issues without making an issue of being disabled. It doesn't do that crappy thing and get all serious like M*A*S*H always did either.
  • Too funny

Nothing I like more than someone finally telling us Americans how ridiculous we are in his comedy act. I fully support Jim Jeffries, and hope to see his career go far! This show is great and his style is as well. This show and Louie proves that if we give the creativity of shows to actually talented people, you end up with a great final product.
  • Store-brand Louie CK

(and I mean that as a compliment!) This is not "Louie" good, or even "Louie" quality, but it's along those lines, and if you like Louie CK, you will probably like this. I paid for the first episode, liked it, and now I'm back getting the second episode. Fun, funny, and irreverant. I would say this is a cross between Louie the FX show and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Both of which I like) Try it! I did, and came back for more..........
  • Believe it or not, this show has heart

FX obviously has a hard-on for Australians. And while Wilfred has its own formula for the insane and hilarious, Legit takes the inappropriateness to a new level by changing the formula of the typical FX half hour comedy. The writers spend 2/3 of the show putting 'Jeff' into hilarious, raunchy, and very inappropriate situations with his immigration lawyer and lawyer's disabled younger brother and the other 1/3 of the show tying up the episode with so much heart and good intentions that you can see why this show will definitely get renewed for a second season. Good job FX for recognizing that a Half hour comedy doesn't have to 30 minutes of pure filthy jokes. (Although we all love those shows are amazing as well.) I am a permanent viewer of this show as long as they keep the line in the sand that the writers have drawn. Good job and Great show! Thanks FX!
