I'm the biggest Blumhouse fan on the planet, but this movie so so awful and boring as crap! How does it have 4 stars?!

Plain and simple...there is no way that the culprits could have pulled this off with the numbers they had. I don't want to give anything away but they would have had to be in about 15 different places at a time, had a whole tech department, electrical, staging, etc. it's one of the most unrealistic films I've seen In a long time. They would have also had to plan this out for months and months to cover every angle that could have happen once it started. However, letting the movie be a movie...it was entertaining and definitely kept you guessing. If you paid half attention to the story flow you can see how the end unfolds before it does but that aside it was still fun to watch and better or worse than the slew of found footage films out there. Rent before buying but renting is worth the price. Enjoy!

i give this movie 3 stars because it's kinda of a good movie but, its not really scary. also, it doesn't make sense when they are crying and there aren't ang tears at all?! i would reccomend this movie to people who don't like really scary movies. ☺️

So dissapointing. So utterly dissapointing. I watch all the horror movies and i love found footage movies, even the bad ones, but this movie just blew. Decent premise to start out with, but after about 30 minutes it becomes obvious where its going. In the hands of a better writer, with a better second and third act the movie could have been something good but it feel totally flat.

Finally a “found footage” movie that is well made! This movie provides true psychological horror movie that does not rely on cheap special effects & over the top gore that insults the viewer’s intelligence. This movie grabs you by your goodies & doesn’t let go even after it’s over. I highly recommend it!!!
  • skip it

if you hate found footage movies skip this one in particular, other reviewers who "liked it" have no sense of taste ;-). The ending doesnt even make SENSE, the premise is WAYYYYYY too done up for the ending to be even the least bit probable.
  • 5 stars because...

I give this five stars simply because this movie put all other found footage films to shame. This movie isn't winning any oscars (not because it sucked, but BC its your typical horror) With that being said, if you liked The Strangers you'll love the directors follow up film. "MOCKINGBIRD"
  • Brilliant! Must See. Plain and simple.
