Very horrifying to me. The monster looked horrifying as well. To me though it was a little bit confusing in he beginning.

Boring, awful and painful to sit through. Not worth the time!

99 cents was too much for this movie. But at least it was only 99 cents.
  • Atmospheric and better than your average horror, but still has flaws

    1. Actresses are solid, but some script writing took away from potential suspense like when the girls are screaming in the car at the tow truck driver who obviously cannot hear them. If they were silent and whimpering and helpless in that scene, it would have been more powerful. 2. The analogy of the mother and the monster could have used more subtlety. 4. The sounds of the storm, the monster, and the score all work in harmony to create a great atmosphere. The shots always took lighting in mind. 5. And it’s so nice to have a real monster instead of CGI. I think this movie is solid and worth a purchase as there is rewatch value here for horror junkies. But it’s not a horror movie that will go down in history or become iconic in the genre. I think a lot of the criticisms are warranted but unfairly harsh for what is, a better than average horror movie. If I were giving this a grade, it would be a B+.

Well filmed and frightening. Excellent dialogue and an interesting story especially for those that have lived through the emotional turmoil of dealing with a parent with addiction.
  • Too much drag

The reason movies like this are so unrealistic and don’t get a lot of following is because of the overreaching ideas of not even being logically correct. A little girl is the more responsible person in the entire situation for the movie and yet the little girl walks very very very slowly through the rain to get the Bag out of the truck.. does not even try the doorhandle instead peaked through the window then grab the door handle.... Sorry any young kid out in the rain in the dark - forced to go get their phone out of the bag because their adult parent won’t is not going to walk slowly they’re going to walk extremely fast they’re gonna run...there gonna grab the door handle we’re gonna open it up...they are going to get the bags are going to run back not walk really slowly.... Then mom sits in the car playing with a lighter while her child disappears into the woods define the dead wolf come on really??

Monster effects....BLAH! Scare factor.....predictable.....Total cliche of what not to do in a "horror" film. Gee, I hear a noise inthe dark and rainy forest, let me go check it out. C'mon man! Really want my money back
