I saw this on a plane ride at the end of last summer. I loved it so, so much. It has a great mix of comedy, adventure, excitement, and a little romance. I really think you should at least check it out. It doesn't have the most action (well of course not, it's not directed by Michael Bay), but it has a natural sense of happiness and adventure that makes me aching to watch it again.
  • Great Coming-of-age-film

This is a really fun movie. The writing was fantastic, it had some sweet (maybe quirky) scenes and themes, and the ending really rounds it up in a great way. Definitely worth the buy.

I saw this film last year at the Tribeca Film Festival and loved it, planning to take my kids to see it when it hits screens in Dallas next week. A rare film these days that can be appreciated by adults as well as teenagers, the young actors give great performances and Kingsley has some very funny moments...I expect to see big things out of Smit-McPhee, Chang and Wolff in the future, but you can see them now in one of my favorite movies of the past year.
