It's summer, and biracial middle schooler Clark and his parents have just moved from diverse Brooklyn to a predominately-white, small town in Washington. As Clark discovers that fitting in at school means acting 'more Black', his parents grapple with new attention from neighbors and colleagues. Soon all three are struggling to understand themselves and each other in their new community.
