X-Files during its peak. I still love this movie. I was so hyped for it when it first released in 1998. Trust No One.
  • An okay film that furthers a story

This movie pretty well wraps up the space aliens elements of the TV show, but – just for the heck of it – they toss in something to keep it going. It was originally intended to be the first in a series of films after killing the series but then the producers kept it going for several years more. Don't bother with the other X-Files movie. This one is as good as it is going to get.

I absolutely love David Duchovny (Agent Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Agent Dana Scully), because they are like perfect couple. And this movie has a great plot that leads to the season 6. Great stuff.

THIS MOVIE WAS SO AMAZING!!!!!!! Scully and Mulder never lose their charm or character. Hilarious, mysterious, and jaw-dropping shocking. A continuation of a long recurring plot line that is superbly executed. You will not want to miss!

I'm doing the run through the series on Netflix, and I believe this film is best viewed between seasons five and six, if you're looking to get the full experience. While I've seen it all already, I had to rent the first film so I could do right by the the story. I'll post further when I've seen the movie again and have refreshed my memory. Here's to hoping it all comes out on blu ray soon, so I can revel in its greatness! I've heard Q4 2013… The truth is still out there...

I still remember the day I saw this in the theater. Awesome. Exciting. Thrilling. Great actors. I am a very big fan of the series. I love the mystery and suspense of the non mythology episodes. The second movie just felt like something I could watch in the small screen as an x-file episode. But this movie was made for the big screen, was proud of Rob Bowman👍for a job well done. I am still waiting for the movie sequel...

A 2 hour episode. I just finished the 5th season and started watching the 6th season but there is a big gap in the story line. For the x-files junkie you've got to watch the movie to know what's going on. It's ok I guess, but I'm glad I just rented it.
