I haven't heard of this movie before but once I found out and finally saw it, I was amazed. Adam Sandler was EXCELLENT! I wasn't sure if he could really pull it off but he did! He was amazing! The other actors, Cheadale, Pinkett Smitth, Tyler, and more they were good. But I was mostly impressed with Adam Sandler. I am a fan of his and his top fans would love him in this movie. Also you would get pulled into this movie by reading the plot. It caught my attention. It was a really good movie that it leads you to understand the pressures of Post Trauamatic Stress Disorder. Having to lose your family from 9/11 would definately be hard. It was a really good movie. Adam Sandler fans, you should watch it.

At a time in life in which giving up seems all to viable, Sandler's character portrayals the life of a broken man who, with help, finds the strength to start anew again. With the accompaniment of Cheadle, the two mastered the chemistry of the moment and harnessed life in its truest cinematic form. Tears, laughs and an insightful look at post 9/11 life. 5 stars

Normally, I steer clear of Adam Sandler films. Not that I don't like him, it's simply that his adolescent sort of humor is grating to me. This film however, shows that Sandler is a truly an actor. The story line is timely and timeless, the emotion is real and palpable and the dialogue is believable. The depth displayed by the characters is sad, wonderful and truly heartfelt. Sandler portrays a man whose family was taken from him abruptly, and shows the bottom of a downward spiral that has left him broken and worn from the trip. Cheadle plays an old college friend who finds him at the bottom and tries to help him find his way back from the brink. The cast is wonderful, the mood is genuine and the story is compelling. A must for all fans of truly good human drama. Don't expect the usual from Sandler here, he has something different to say.

Another breakthrough for Adam Sandler. A true display of our interconnectedness as human beings. A clear representation of the unending and unchangeable fact that action equals reaction. And a moving reminder that each of our choices as sentient beings creates ripples that are unstoppable and uncontrollable once begun.

Awesome sound track, Adam Sandler's finest performance. Amazing acting by Don Cheadle. Donald Sutherland was simply himself nothing short of amazing. Great movie and of course the stunning Luc Tyler. One of my favorites

A movie about various aspects of loss, struggle to let go, and hope of renewal/redemption. Well depicted throughout. Sandler seemed a little amorphous from time to time - occasionally left me feeling like I was trying to grab fog. Overall, a great and rewarding movie.

It's a pleasant surprise to see funny-man Adam Sandler act a serious role in this movie. He does a wonderful job of acting in a genre further off than his usual comedy.
