I love Miyazaki‘s work but I believe it is best enjoyed and it’s original language I also really enjoy English I like how the other Ghibli movies either off as a language which is ideal or as an extra then have the Japanese language. Update thank you Apple you are the best!

Will definitely remind you of Hayao’s previous work at times but it has probably one of the most mature story/meaning to one of his films making it more divisive and less rewatchable to some others who have seen it. To me the entire film, whether it’s the animation (which is the best work he has ever done even for his standards), score, performances, message, you name it is absolutely perfect.

So much depth and human warmth. The magic of this studios vision cannot be overstated. It’s simply another work from the collective minds of some of the greatest artists alive. And FYI, it’s animation so every language is “dubbed”. The English speaking actors do a really good job. And the language Ghibli studios chooses for the scenes are simply an extension of context that creates a minimal effect of all the unspoken story that is unfolding. This movie is the crowning achievement of Miyazakis amazing Studio Ghibli.

But seriously add the original version. Not a fan of the dubbed version.
