Description

In the latest thriller from the director of ANNABELLE, 17-year-old CLARE SHANNON (Joey King) is barely surviving the hell that is high school, along with her friends MEREDITH (Sydney Park) and JUNE (Shannon Purser). So when her dad (Ryan Phillippe) gifts her an old music box with an inscription that promises to grant the owner's wishes, she thinks there is nothing to lose. Clare makes her first wish and, to her surprise, it comes true. Before long, she finally has it all: money, popularity and her dream boy. Everything seems perfect - until the people closest to her begin dying in gruesome and twisted ways. Now, with blood on her hands, Clare has to get rid of the box, before it costs her and everyone she loves the ultimate price. Be careful what you wish for. Broad Green Pictures’ WISH UPON is directed by John R. Leonetti (ANNABELLE) and produced by Sherryl Clark (CLOVERFIELD).

Full of cliches but also fun and an easy watch, nothing too heavy, and a good ending. Also watch HoneyBee and Death Note if you liked this.

honestly, you guys led my astray so many times. This movie may not be memorable, but at least it's not as crappy as your random ratings on so called "artistic movies". It's more than 17%. No, an unusual camera angle is not sufficient to make up for a sub-par story line. yes, I can appreciate good acting and a creative approach to film making, but please, think about the main-stream audience a bit more. It's OK to be a film-knowledge snob, but customer satisfaction should override that.

For me, this is an unintentional comedy. It isn't good by any means but it is pretty entertaining. I can't speak on the directors cut because I haven't seen it but the theatrical version was hilarious. My theater was bursting into laughter frequently. Game effort by all the actors but it came out as ridiculous.

This movie is worth watching. I would Rent it only, not buy it. (Unless its on sale, (wink).)

Boy, this movie is scary! The idea for this movie is original and the story was great too. But I hope they make a prequel or a sequel.
  • Don't. Kill. Dogs.

They killed off the dog. The best friend. The sentimental dog that was always there for everything. Don't kill dogs in horror movies. Something has to be kept sacred. One star.
