Love the sketches, please provide better quality video!!! I’m downloading 1080 but what comes over the tv-over-the-airwaves live looks better

DO NOT BUY if you are looking for the entire episode. There was no opening, no music performance, no skits that you read about in the news. This episode was garbage and just a recap of the last 40 years and every sketch you have seen over and over again. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I am a fan of SNL, I used to go to work talking about the weekends latest episode. This is not true anymore. I barely cracked a smile so far with this new season. It is so horrible that I can barely make it half way through the episode.

The guests relying on the cue cards is at times so painfully obvious that their name isn't big enough to make their performance worth watching; Chris Rock. I wanted to see the musical act, Maroon 5 and Prince; after all, we paid for the episode but left out they were.
  • Not the SNL of old

SNL sure has changed over the years, but unfortunately, it hasn't been in a good way. The entire thing feels like a mess. The cast is not gelling with either each other or the material. The writing feels uninspired. The tired sketches often have recycled jokes, just delivering them through a different filter. It usually takes a stellar guest performance for the show to pick up (Chris Pratt) or (Woody Harrelson). I also feel like they intentionally wade out the good material for the first episode, the last episode and Holiday episodes in between. They have a lot they need to fix before it's worth the price they are asking for here.

Most of the stuff on this show is not even close to funny. With a few exceptions here and there, this is often just embarassing, and awkward at best, and the fake cheering just makes it even worse. It's only popular at all because it is so cheap to produce, and provides cheap blurbs for other company owned programs to quote and promote, and now online placements with which they can place ads. A vicious cycle of stupidity that's made insulting too by the lame and lean version of the show that's offered here at such a premium price.
