Description

These days, families come in all forms – single dads, double moms, sperm donors, egg donors, one-night-stand donors… It's 2012 and anything goes. Bryan (Andrew Rannells) and David (Justin Bartha) are a Los Angeles couple and they have it all. Well, almost. With successful careers and a committed, loving partnership, there is one thing that this couple is missing: a baby. And just when they think the stars will never align, enter Goldie (Georgia King), an extraordinary young woman with a checkered past. A midwestern waitress and single mother looking to escape her dead-end life and small-minded grandmother (Emmy and Tony Award-winner Ellen Barkin), Goldie decides to change everything and move to L.A. with her precocious eight year-old daughter. Desperate and broke – but also fertile – Goldie quickly becomes the guys' surrogate and quite possibly the girl of their dreams. Surrogate mother, surrogate family.

  • A Wonderful ‘Easy-Read'

I loved this show. It was the TV equivalent of and easy read. The episodes are short, uncomplicated, easy to follow through the seasonal arch… you get to see character-development as they learn valuable lessons. And best of all: I felt good after each episode!
  • Glad it was cancelled

This series was almost painful to watch. It tried too hard to compete with Modern Family, with the addition of some ridiculously juvenile "moral message" theme in each episode. Was happy to see it go.

Modern Family meets Little Miss Sunshine...Cute. Not great, but cute, and sometimes funny (not as funny as Modern Family though). The characters are interesting but more contrast between them would work better.

This show was very well written and produced….. I enjoy the comedy and overall interaction with the cast. The dynamics are truly spectacular. Looking forward to another season.

Hollywood pushing their world view. Well Hollywood, you're not going to take family away. This is definitely not the new normal, but the the century old weakness.
  • More liberal propaganda....

because stereotypes are wrong - but only if they're stereotypes of gays and democrats. People who oppose them, of course, are viable targets. Blech.
