I have always enjoyed this series. This year there are two teams, IMG and Himex. The adventure is great to watch, the real life drama, and clearly the outside footage of Everest is amazing. This year each episode tracks a set of climbers from camp to the summit, unlike previous years where you had to watch the whole series to follow a climber. I found the second show, IMPOSSIBLE DREAM following climbers John Golden and Jon Shea the best. They were relatable people, clearly close friends, and the shot of Jon Shea rotating and popping John Golden’s knee is amazingly painful to watch! Anybody with knee pain has to watch this. Also, there was plenty of tension between them and Eric from IMG. Great drama. Dawes was quiet a character in episode 3. I enjoyed watching his trip. My main issue with the series was after a few episodes, the "stock" footage to show the mountain tended to repeat, like they ran out of footage. The series is great, but if you want to just get a taste I would get episode 2 first, my second choice would be episode 1. Note you do not have to watch them in any sequence.

I was THRILLED to see Everest: Beyond the Limit return!! This show is totally addictive and mind blowing! What these men and women attempt to do is amazing and to be able to see it first hand is totally awesome!! Here's to hoping Discovery channel follows up a new batch of climbers this Spring! If you love Deadliest Catch or Man Vs. Wild, I gurantee you'll love this!!!
