Description

They were the ultimate fighters — ancient beasts who walked the earth millions of years ago. With cunning and strategy, they hunted their prey — transforming the prehistoric world into a battlefield. Today, paleontologists are uncovering these battlefields, and gaining startling new insight into how quick thinking, maneuverability, and striking at the exact moment separated the weak from the strong. The temperature, terrain, and an innate sense of the opponent’s weaknesses and strengths all played a role in how each dinosaur planned his attack. Leading scientists and experts offer play-by-play commentary on battles that occurred 70 million years ago as CGI imagery depicts the dinosaurs sizing up their opponents and flexing their prehistoric muscles in thrilling confrontations. Blow by blow, each episode of Jurassic Fight Club dissects these battles, uncovering a predatory world far more calculated and complex than we originally thought. Episodes include "Gang Killers," "Iced Aged Monsters," and "Armageddon."

While I do like the show i know that there is a lot of cut corners when it comes to the science involved

I personally love Raptor's Last Stand, cause it show how size can be a real handicap. I also enjoyed T-Rex Hunter.
  • Disappointing.

The science in this show is simply atrocious. First, the show's "paleontology expert," "Dinosaur Bob" is not a paleontologist. It isn't even stated whether he has any degree at all. Second, the show's actual experts definitely do not get enough run time. It was impossible to shake the feeling that the show's producers were simply taking clips of what they wanted from the paleontologists' interviews without taking the time to wonder whether the claims being made by the show were true or not. Third, the entire show is based off of conjecture. There is absolutely no way to determine the behavior of dinosaurs, as they have no comparable relatives to observe today. Finally, the fight scenes are just recycled shots that the show used to introduce the cretures. The show carries an air of sensationalism that can only be attributed to a desire for high ratings. It seems that the producers were hoping to be able to draw an audience in with promises of violence coupled, education, and excellent CGI, while only actually delivering one of these.

No ofence for who like the show but this show is stunk in sientific way. Thish show was more as entertaiment than the sience they destroy evrything we know about dinosaures and replace it with strange idease that have no sientifick value ore base (such as Vennomous t rex , Majangasaurus turkey...) Some paleontologyst get mad for descremenaiting theire descoverise:( .

The episodes I bought were great. I woundered why the meat eaters lost most of the battles. You should buy a episode or more

I downloaded the Megaladon/Brygmophyseter episode. Awesome! Probably one of the best of its kind...and that's even over many of the shark week episodes I own. The textures were very convincing...there could've been a bit more detail to the shark eyes/teeth, but it was great as is. Please do more sea creature episodes! Would love to see an episode on the recent "Predator X" Pliosaurs!

Of course, we chose Raptor v. T-Rex to watch. It's a very good show, suited for kids from about 8 upwards (any younger and the kill scene might be too scary), and an education for anyone who wants to find out about dinosaurs. For real dino experts like my son, there's nothing new except hearing what the pros have to say--but he still enjoyed the excellent cgi.

Love this show! Armageddon is my favorite episode. pros: accurate and informative plus cool CGI animations. cons: can get a little tedious at times, but to sum it up, its a great show!
