I have watched 2 episodes from Season 2 - Provence and Lyon. Other than a few glimpses at some local sights, there isn't anything helpful if you are exploring these areas of France. Mostly you get to watch Samantha Brown visit strange venues and ask empty questions. Several cringe-worthy moments. I was very disappointed and will stick with Rick Steves from now on.

Samantha takes you on a journey of a lifetime with splendor, luxury, and a little bit of humor. I love how she explains everything to you and I can't wait for my trip to Europe.

Hey Itunes store, it would be great if you could edit out the opening of her show on each of these episodes so people could see the 30 seconds of actual footage instead of watching her open the show over and over. On some of these, you dont see any of the actual episode sample.

Listen, just because she doesn't visit the places YOU want to see doesn't mean it's a BAD show! The reason she visits places that aren't that well known(sometimes), is so that people will become aware of other great places to travel to instead of the usual Paris, Athens, Rome, etc. Other cities and locations deserve recognition too, you know. So stop being a spoiled brat about shows you don't even understand. --Anthony Bordain is more about food, you know. He travels too but he seems to linger on their exotic foods a lot.
  • a very particular view of Italy

no the insight I was expecting - a tourist guide without the personal touch or the close look you can expect from a video taped show. You will learn more going online on the Italian tourism office.
  • Too short

This show is too short... as great as it is, it should be double the current duration. Yet it's good enough that I'll still buy it:)
  • Amazing season, faulty episode

I'm going on vacation to many of these places, so I wanted to watch all of the episodes corresponding to my trip. Unfortunately, the episode for Santorini does not work. It's completely grey for the entire episode with no sound. I contacted iTunes and they gave me a video credit- I waited for a couple weeks and bought it again, hoping it would work. It still doesn't. I also tried purchasing from another account on another machine, but the same thing happend. They should really remove it if it's faulty.... Sad. Wasted money.

Samantha Brown is the perfect person to host a traveling show. She shows you the best places to go when you arrive upon your destination. She also makes traveling interesting because of the cool places she goes and her funny sense of humor. I loved in Sweden when she went to the ice bars that were very hip, also the blue lagoon in Iceland was among my favorites. You will NOT be wasting your money whether you buy one show or the whole season. She is an experienced traveler who knows how to have fun!
