I enjoyed this first season, been a long year waiting for Amazon to release it on iTunes. The wait was worth it, and I'm very excited to see where the next season takes us. The cast was superb, shout out to Rosamund Pike, she is so very talented!! Rand's character is shapng up excellently. Supporting cast is right where they need to be. Stays very true to the story about 99% of the time. Couple modern issues being introduced that are not needed, but they can stay as long as they don't become prevelant in the story. Couple changes to the story that die hard fans may disagree, however, I enjoy the times when I don't know exactly what's about to happen or who the character is before they are introduced. Feminist themes are some of my least favorite, but if you're reading Jordan, you have to accept that his world is built this way and it makes sense that it would evolve into this after the Breaking. So far they are handling it very well, especially considering how polorized our society is right now. If you like fantasy or Robert Jordan's books, you will not be disappointed in your purchase. Excellent value and entertainment!!
  • Absolutely butchers the books in the worst ways

This breaks the lore, but worse it destroys most of the characters too. Simply awful, and the changes were all political in nature. Can’t have strong men anymore. Rand, Perrin, Mat, and all their parents were almost maliciously deconstructed. Stay far away if you like the books or are a man. The books are do much better.
