This is still one of the greatest disaster movies that has ever been made. Most of the effects still work, the acting is superub, and it still gets you on an emotional level. Also, it's always a kick to see OJ Simpson in a movie.

I'm sure her real review was much longer and more cohesive than the sentence we get here which is more disjointed than any aspect or scene from this movie she didn't like . "The movie doesn't stick together in ones' head " - Can someone please help translate that sentence ? or " like a junky fairground show " - um anybody ? " A chamber of horrors with skeletons that jump up " . um really anybody want to take that one ? Pauline , for crying out loud , its Irwin Allen creator of the terrible Lost In Space , praise him for getting Newman , Mcqueen and Vaughn in the movie and be greatful there was no Bill Mumy or Jonathan Harris cameos .

FINALLY! This was the movie that started it all for me by inspiring me to pursue my career in the motion picture industry. While most kids were wearing out their Disney videos, I was wearing out our copy of "The Towering Inferno.” I only wish I could’ve seen it in a movie theatre. By far the greatest disaster film ever made! BRAVO iTunes for bringing this home! :)
