Kat and Sam have grown up together: every year, their families share Christmas dinner, with Kat and Sam sitting at the children's table...even as twentysomethings. Now they're both thirty, and Sam is coming home for the first time in years. The last time he came home, he and Kat had a bitter argument, ruining their budding romance. Now, Sam wants to set things right...and maybe even rekindle their relationship. Their first awkward encounter sparks a series of flashbacks: we see how their relationship develops from toddlers coloring under the table to that night five years ago that nearly ruined their relationship. When we finally catch up to now, Kat and Sam must decide if there is a life for them the other 364 days in the year, outside from underneath the children's table.
