Description

He’s back! From the filmmakers that brought you Chucky comes the terrifying return of the pint-sized doll possessed by the spirit of a notorious serial killer. When a mysterious package arrives at the house of Nica (Fiona Dourif, True Blood), she doesn’t give it much thought. However, after her mother’s mysterious death, Nica begins to suspect that the talking, red-haired doll her visiting niece has been playing with may be the key to the ensuing bloodshed and chaos. The return of America’s favorite toy, voiced again by Brad Dourif, is unrated and full of more blood-splattered thrills and chills.

I really like this movie! I saw it on Netflix the first time I ever watched it and it was great; a sequel that totally returns to the horror of the original. Packed with suspense, creepy atmosphere, and terror, this movie doesn’t let up! And I wisely followed the advice that some of the others who wrote reviews gave: I watched it right up till the very end. Warning: The final chapter of the franchise, Cult of Chucky is a good movie that logically continues this story, but this the far better of the two movies.

This movie is my second least favorite after Seed of Chucky, he doesn’t talk until 40 minutes in and the kills were rushed and not very thought out. The worst part? There is a CRUCIAL piece of the story after the credits! Most people turn it off when the credits start rolling! I’m glad I didn’t, but still.

Why does everyone like this so much??? Ok, it gives a little backstory to the original Child's Play, but that doesn't make this stinker good. It's better than the last few, but is nothing like the first 3, which I enjoyed. It just doesn't build the same tension as the older ones.

Seed of Chucky was a complete waste of time, so I wasn't even going to buy this movie at first. However, I heard it was more like the original film, and had a decent storyline, and I am a Chucky fan, so I decided to give it a watch. I'm really glad I did, too because it was definitely a sequel that I myself and most other fans have been waiting for. The ending cliffhanger was pretty good as well. Check it out!

As a professional fan of Mr. Charles Lee Ray and his killings I have a little review for you all. First of course I own the dolls and tons of merchandise but I will have to say this is my second least favorite one, (first being Child's Play 3). First, it's plain boring. Second, some parts do not mix well. Finally, I have to say that I think the creators of Chucky the doll and the movies are just plain running out of ideas! His kills are way less creative then what I have seen in Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky.

I haven't seen this movie, but I know that they turned Chucky into a pasty, girly mess! To be honest, I haven't seen any Child's Play movies, but I know that Chucky looks way different in the originals. I give them credit for having Chucky in it, though.
