I remember when I was 10 and first watched this movie and thought it was amazing. Now that I’m much older I can obviously see it’s flaws or problems. But when you set the issues aside, Adventures in Zambezia can truly be an entertaining and at some point, even a spectacle to look at. Now the animation isn’t absolutely amazing or anything, but at some points during the movie it really did look really nice. I can’t even describe how easy the soundtrack is on the ears! I was blown away by the ost and I think it deserves way more credit than it was given. Also, if you didn’t enjoy this film that’s fine. Nothing can satisfy every single member of the audience. But the 2 negative reviews that claimed that this is a “ripoff of Rio” is ridiculous and downright oblivious. Both films are different in so many ways. They have different stories, different characters, different settings, and the fact they are both based on 2 completely different cultures is enough to disprove this claim. But however they saw that the main protagonist is a blue bird so that automatically makes it a ripoff. I saw a few similarities here and there but nothing to the point of making it a ripoff. Bee movie is literally about a woman who dumps her boyfriend for a bee, I don’t understand how you find that more entertaining...oh wait...memes that’s why. Guess I’ll turn an actual underrated good movie into a meme now cya later.......10/10 would play again. No seriously, I would recommend this movie for anyone who enjoyed Kimba or Lion King. It carries that magical African aesthetic or feeling....overall, an underrated guilty pleasure of mine
  • Even worse than Bee Movie

This is one of the worst movies made in the 21st century that I have seen. Yes, I'm sure there are worse movies out there. But this movie is so bad it's not even funny. It's a cheap rip off or Rio with no entertaining characters and only groan-out-loud "jokes". I mean, at least the Bee Movie entertains viewers! This movie isn't even good enough to become a meme.

NOT A RIP OFF OF RIO 1.takes place in Africa not rio 2.the villain is not a bird 3.the main character Kai is a falcon not a parrot 4.the main female bird is also a falcon not a parrot 5.the main character Kai the falcon can already fly 6.the main villain doesn't complain of how beautiful he is 7.Rio doesn't have a city about birds I got SO BORD while I was watching Rio I couldn't even make it into 15 minutes of Rio I'd give Rio 0 stars out of 5! ZAMBEZIA on the other wing I'd give Zambezia 5 stars out of 5!!

So good I would have paid to see this in theaters. Interesting characters, beautiful animation and a good plot make this a keeper! It will remind you of Lion King, Rio and Finding Nemo. I look forward to more from this director!
