One September morning in 1980, eight people entered the General Electric plant in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The plant housed nuclear weapon nosecones. Once inside, the "Plowshares 8" occupied the plant and poured vials of blood on secret documents as a protest against nuclear arms. This film is about the Plowshares 8 featuring their trial. Martin Sheen stars as the hard nosed judge but the film belongs to Daniel Berrigan who portrays himself. The subject and performances combine in "In the King of Prussia" to make a powerful courtroom drama. Martin Sheen has said that Daniel Berrigan should have received an Oscar for his performance. Others have called for sainthood. In the King of Prussia is one film you should see as the issues are as important as life itself.
