This movie is labled as a Comedy. There is very VERY little humorous about this movie. In fact it's extremely pathetic and sad. I would not recommend this movie to anyone, unless you're looking to depress yourself.

I am a Health teacher who has lived through having an alcoholic father, a brother who died of alcoholism, and a daughter who has successfully been through treatment and sobriety for 16 years. I use this film for my classes because of how genuine the displays of attitudes and relationships are. Many students with addiction problems have agreed with this observation. I recently had a student describe the film’s use in her treatment program.

I use this to help groups I run as a Licensed Therapist, it's helped a lot of people, and it did so with a good mix of reality and comedy.
