This was one of the most incredible films I have seen in a very long time. The story is so real and genuine, touches the heart and touches the soul with some of the most beautiful music. The acting is that of heights of greatness that cannot be described by words. Absolutely amazing. 100 stars.

The story for this film is amazing! It draws you in and doesn't let go. But how does the story pull you in? With the actors. Robert Downey, Jr. is amazing as always and Jamie Foxx pulls off the homeless man with ease. The thing that astounded me the most, however, was the fact that the homeless people in this film were actual homeless people living in Skid Row (only reason I know that is because I saw a documentary about Skid Row entitled "Lost Angeles", you should check it out if you like this movie!). This movie is astounding with great actors, a great (true) story, and great direction! Worth a watch!

Heartwarming but clichéd. Not all geniuses see the light. Downey is credible and Foxx is believable. The god-thing is overdone. The light show should have been left on the floor.

Downey and Foxx give great performances, but the movie wears on you like someone playing on one cello string. It makes it's point early on and then just drags it along for hours. Exhausting to watch.

This is a magnificent movie Jamie Fox performed the role of Anthony so well it has to be his finest performance beating Ray by at least four lengths. Downey simply brought his best to the set. The movie gives us insight into just how deeply troubling while liberating a mental illness can be. The paradox is richly captured and the result is a truly prolific story. I haven't enjoyed a film this much in a long time. Definitely 5 big ones. Brilliant.
