Description

A father-son action/drama based on the inspiring true story of the tiny river town of Madison, Indiana and its legendary efforts during the hydroplane racing season of 1971. In addition to the thrills of 180-mph flat-bottomed boat racing, the picture captures the spirit of a small American river town struggling to stay alive as water transportation has virtually disappeared.

If you enjoyed the smell of fuel and speeding on the water you should enjoy this. It brought back a lot of memories for me.

It was directed very well Kudos to William. Scenes are clean and without question, beyond what you would expect. Truely a great movie for anyone who loves racing, water, boats, mechanics, action, and adventure. I visited Madison once to see the hydroboat races and it was remarkable. Close to the riverbed, is the old worn-down shop they worked in the movie. Not sure if it is there anymore, or if it has any changes. Since I vacationed in Madison in 07. If you want to see a good movie to watch with your family, then this is the right movie for you.
