Great acting, lots of humor early then down to business when the fish hits the fan. This is an emotional, action-packed adventure. Don't get attached to any of the characters. The sharks are hungry.

This movie was awesome, the story was original and the cast was so charismatic. It’s not Jaws and it was never intended to be. That’s why is enjoyable. But word of advice.... WB green lit a second/reimagined story- yeah “reimagined; and if your desperate for anything to make you laugh and just forget your day, waste the money. If not wait for it on Netflix or any other streaming platform available. Bring Renny Harlan back!!!

Many shark movies come and go. This one has great suspense and a lot of surprises. It builds a lot of tension and makes for a satisfying movie. Now, having read the other reviews here I have to say something… JAWS is CLASSIC! Now, not every Jaws movie ever made is great, but the first kept people on the beaches (and out of the water) and it impacted shark populations (due to over fishing for the act of extermination) due to so much fear. Now, for those that say Jaws had poor special effects I think they should kindly consider the year that movie was made. Those were top notch effects for the time! To compare that to the airbrushed CGI of today is apples and oranges.

I'm always searching HBO and Showtime for SciFi that I missed when they first came out. This was surprisingly good!! The shark CGI is great for when it was made, and the script isn't overly cliched or particularly predictable. THANK GOD it doesn't have the forced romance BS that is standard these days, with the stereotypical, saccharine irritation-turns-to-love/lust story.

Deep blue sea was an amazing funny thriller with good graphics and the best death scenes. Jaws on the other hand is a good movie to but I like deep blue sea better because they used a shark that is not usually used in movies. Great movie overall.

Now wait just one minute!!! This is a movie about a mutant female shark that rips the heads and arms off of men and loves to bite the women only in the crotch??? Do I sense a homophobic theme going on here??? Anyway...it's kind of a weird spooker of a flick and reasonably well done.

This movie is by far the best alarm movie Even after 15 years No other shark movie has been able to compete against the amazing story line and making of the film Even though it was back in 1999 It still is extremely advanced
