Description

Claire Lyons, the new girl from Orlando, Florida, has the nerve to show up at Octavian Country Day school (OCD) wearing Keds and two-year- old GAP overalls. She is clearly not top Clique (aka the Pretty Committee) material and Massie, Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen have no problem letting everyone know it. Unfortunately, Claire’s family is staying in the guest house on Massie’s family’s huge estate and the girls are stuck with each other. Claire’s future looks worse than a Prada knockoff. But with a little luck and a lot of scheming, she might just stand a chance.

This movie is amazing! It is so not an LBR (Loser Beyond Repair) I read all the books and it totally gives the first book justice! I wish they made the rest of the books into movies!

This was the worst movie ever. It was nothing like the book at all. In the beginning plot she has to miss Labor Day with her friends. In the movie she has to miss a party and she tells them not to go, but in the book really she has to miss it herself. Literally Claire and Chris only meet one time, not two. In art class Alicia paints it on while sitting down. Massie isn't even pretty. Dylan was supposed to be way prettier than she was. None of the movie has to do with the book. The auction is outside and Massies dad gets drunk and Massie never does the birthday thing for Chris. Let alone it wasn't his birthday at all. It's way too dramatic and none of the characters fit the descriptions. I do not recommend this movie.

Massie Block. Slays. I have been slayed by Massie's verbal slams. I don't think I can recover and I don't think I want to. This movie is one of the most quotable things ever. It strays from the book at times, but generally stays on the same path as the book. I love both the books and the movie and you can tell that each one was made with taste.

Honestly, I LOVED the books. Those were literally my 7th-8th grade life back when the books were still coming out every couple weeks. So obviously I remember being excited when I heard they were going to make a movie. I don’t think the movie really captured everything that went on in the books. The looks were a big let down for me. Claire and Dylan were ok casting, but Kristen, Massie, Alicia, and Chris were all NOTHING what I expected. I don’t think the acting was 100%, a lot of the time, it just felt very fake and forced and like they were reading the script for the first time. If you disagree, fine. Everyone has their own opinion. This is just from someone who read all the books multiple times and was invested in the characters.
