Description

Blake Edwards' 10, a spicy comedy of manners, morals and midlife crises, captures many moods, sometimes sexy, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes slapstick - but always on target. That target is 42-year-old composer George (Dudley Moore), a man who has everything (including patient singer girlfriend Julie Andrews) - and who may just chuck it all on an obsessive quest for a beautiful woman (Bo Derek) he glimpses en route to her wedding. An iconic crowd-pleaser, 10 propelled the movie careers of Moore and Derek and gave Ravel's Bolero a fiery new romantic context. And it stands as one of its director's richest, most fully realized works.

This is one of the worst romantic "comedies" I have seen. Not a single laugh in the entire movie and it is mostly a soft-core porno

Incorrect aspect ratio on iTunes. Should be 2.35 but is 1.85.

I saw this film when it was released and again and again. I love it. For some reason it resonated with me way back when I was young and it still does. I adored Dudley and Julie's characters repartee. So many stars in this that Bo Derek is almost an afterthought. But she's essential to George Webbers evolution. I recommend this. It's nothing less than a clinic in filmmaking from the great Blake Edwards. Enjoy.
  • No 2.35:1?!

It would be really great to have this in its OAR and, if not, then it would at least be nice to have this listed clearly in the film's info

This movie is the definition of a classic. Despite the fact that many aspects seem dated, it's themes ad messages are still incredibly relevant today, and I don't think this movie will ever not be relevant.

Who would want a 4x3 version of this movie? How about it Apple? WIDESCREEN perhaps?
  • Very good. A "feel good" movie typical 1980 ish.

This movie is a love story to me. The very atmosphere and set there within. Priceless. A flashback to the 1980 era when you were young and opportunities was endless. A movie with silly jokes combined with serious relationship messages. The set makes you feel like one million Dollar and the Rolls Royce Dudley Moore is driving is like taken from a Rolls commercial. Astonishing car. Live the life of the rich. Feel the feel of living in the upper class area of Malibu Beach or Pacific Palisades or Beverly Hill. This is just a dream. Legendary Henry Mancini music. You got to see this movie. If you were born in the 1957's . Other generations might not appreciate this fine movie as much because of that. Values and morals. And the very set and decor is breathtaking. Actors Dudley Moore and Julie Andrews outstanding. Love it.

The movie and its politics have not aged well.
  • Reluctant bad review

I typically don't write bad reviews and this isn't completely negative. The films plot is so excruciatingly slow and completely different from the discription. The woman is barely in the woman its all about George. Halfway through the movie I feel so bad for the guy I want to shut the movie off, but I was just so confused/ waiting for the woman to appear again. It is only at the very end of the movie that a semblance of a moral pops up but it seems very incomplete. I'd watch it if the opportunity arises but don't buy it
