Description

Falling In Love is a shining example of the magic that's created when two of Hollywood's biggest and brightest stars join forces in one special film. Multiple Academy Award Winners Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep are together again for the first time since The Deer Hunter. In Falling In Love they play Frank Raftis and Molly Gilmore, two everyday people who meet first by chance, and later by choice. There's just one thing standing between Frank and Molly's intense, newfound love-both are already married. It's a genuine modern dilemma, and De Niro, Streep and a fine supporting cast bring the story to life with flair and sensitivity.

Shallow. Not what I expected from actors of this caliber. Couldn't seem to care about either of the characters. Don't bother with this one.

If you have ever had the chance to fall in love with someone and for whatever reason find it impossible to be together, you would truly appreciate this movie. Realistic performances, real emotions, great ending.

I have heard about this film a few months ago, and at first, it looked so appealing, due to the fact that it starred two of the best, most talented actors for our time. However, this film was nothing, but a disappointment. The plot revolved around two married people, whom happen to run into each other at the New York City Train Station, where Robert De Niro's character, a happily married father of two falls for Meryl Streep's character, a woman who finds herself in an unsure marriage. At first, I found Robert De Niro's character, Frank becoming somewhat stalkerish at first, though manages to get Meryl Streep swept off her feet. Sadly, however, the movie was poorly written, and lacked chemistry between the characters. It's a shame because Meryl and Robert are phenominal actors, who take their craft very seriously, though somehow, portraying each other's love interest wasn't going to cut it.

The romance at the center of this flawed film features two of the best actors in their generation at their prime, turning in excellent performances. I love Meryl in pretty much everything she does and am constantly in awe of DeNiro. Unfortunately, their adulterous affair savages their extant relationships and seems to hurt all the people around them who love them, leaving you with a conflicted dissatisfied queasiness... you want to like them, you understand that the director wants you to like them, but invariably you can't reconcile your notions of right and wrong for this one...

Please do yourself a favor and skip this movie. I do not see how anyone can see how adultery, told through a boring predictable story, as a classic. Nothing even happens in the movie. Just awful

I don't really enjoy watching movies that condone adultery. The actors did well with what they were given and the story was drawn out and predictable.
