A Good Woman

It's a sweet movie , I rented it twice ,but I wouldn't buy it .

This movie is very touching and I have NO IDEA why people hate it. Its a nice adaptation of Lady Windermeres Fan and has two GREAT ACTRESSS in it (Scarlett Johannson, Helen Hunt)

Some parts made me feel like I was watching a play rather than a movie, particularly the gossipy balcony scene in the theatre. Helen Hunt's performance seemed forced. I was extremely disappointed in the ending. A big let-down.

I'm disappointed that some of the critics on here have never even seen the movie. It's obvious that they made comments based on the trailer. That being said, this was a good movie. I enjoyed it. It was, I admit, kind of a chic flick. Definitely a very sweet story.

The movie is good. You might expect more knowing it has good actor and actresses but I can I assure you it's worth renting. Trailers always make a movie seem so spicy well it's not as spicy as the trailer may seen but it's good. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

This movie was a huge disappointment! The acting was forced, un-naturaland and annoying (especially Helen Hunt's voice). The story line was too quickly developed allowing no time for viewers to emotionally connect to the characters. The scenery and costumes are beautiful but the movie is flat out BORING. I even fell asleep for ten minutes of it and didn't mind it at all. I could've have spent my 99 cents on the Wendy's 99 cent menu rather than spending them on this draggy movie.

This seams like a good movie. I don't know if I should rent it.

This movie was better than I expected. One expects crap from the .99 cent bin, but this was a gem. Loved it. It was entertaining and got a heck more than my .99 worth. I may even buy it just for the beautiful scenery and costumes but the story really was beautiful and made my heart tingle

Well, for the negative reviewers among us, have ya ever heard of subtlety, nuance, wit, irony, English spoken as English, beautiful photography, incredible feeling shown by an incredible actress Helen Hunt and her foil Tom Wilkinson. This film is a treasure of the cinematic world. For us positives, we watched it in awe of Oscar Wilde, Helen Hunt, and Tom Wilkinson. And enjoyed the Italian countryside as an aside to all the rest.

I liked this movie quite a bit. It was interesting and different. Surprisingly the best acting did not come from the two leading ladies, both of which I think could've done better and the movie might've been perfect if not for them. Makes you question and think but in a subtle way, clever and witty. Worth a watch.
