This was a great film and I loved the honesty of Phil’s life before and after he put his faith in Christ.

What an amazing story….shows grace and mercy goes such a long way! A must watch for all Duck Dynasty fans and anyone ready to see someone willing to change to be better and how forgiveness can overcome the hardest challenges in people. Raw and real!

Unlike some other reviewers I didn’t feel like this film was overly preachy. I liked it. It’s a story of man who isn’t perfect and hits rock bottom. He almost loses everything in his life that’s worth anything until he finds purpose and meaning again. I related to it and I believe that many other men can relate to it as well.

What a powerful movie!! Kudos to the Robertson family (Phil especially) for an unadulterated and unfiltered look into Phil and Kay’s past, their struggles, Phil’s demons, and ultimately his calling and regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Took my wife to see it who only had a narrow glimpse into “Duck Dynasty.” She came away with a much deeper understanding of what all transpired. Praise God for this family, their testimonies, their unashamed preaching of the Gospel, along with the Dasher family (Zach) for their vision to put this all to film. Shout out to Unashamed Nation and the Unashamed podcast for all the pre-information leading up to this endeavor.

This movie was full of conservative christian nationalist propaganda and flat-out lies. If you've spent time in the part of Louisiana where they’re from, you know this movie is a complete fabrication. Visit his “hometown.” Ask around.
