These comments are really showing how disgusting these homophobic are. The movie depicts a pure friendship that got convoluted with homophobia in the school environment. They are questioning if their friendship goes beyond the line of “friendship”, but children should not worried about the line at all. It’s these homophobic people, like u see in the comment section, destroy everything beautiful and pure.

A pure, beautiful story that’s also very heartbreaking and real!

I honestly don’t know how someone could just stumble into this movie and review it as “Woke..” Who are these ridiculous people 🙄I’m sure they didn’t actually see it. CLOSE is an absolutely beautiful film, told with such empathy and never forced. The acting is extraordinary by the two young leads. The cinematography and direction are stellar too. I cannot recommend this movie enough. It’s a heartbreaker for sure, but so so good.

The simplicity of childhood colliding with adolescents and social pressure gives us the most beautiful film of 2022. It’s stunning but be warned, it’s a guy punch of emotion.

It was about as enjoyable as renting a tube of used chapstick.

There’s some genuinely homophobic, hate speech going on in a couple of these comments. I would hope that Apple would do the appropriate thing and delete those comments that reflect pure hate rather than an informative review that’s supposed to be helpful to those reading it…..

This movie wrecked me. A gentle, heartbreaking, devastating film, with fantastic performances, understated and beautiful directing, cinematography and music. It touched me deeply. I will be weeping for the foreseeable future.

It does happen more than you think. Just cuz it didn’t happen to you and you don’t understand it, doesn’t make it not real. Bigot.
