Description

Inspired by larger-than-life actual events, this riveting crime thriller follows the rise and fall of Silk Road, the infamous darknet site that sent a seismic shock through the World Wide Web. Young, idealistic, and driven to succeed, Ross Ulbricht (Nick Robinson) creates the internet's first unregulated marketplace: Silk Road. But when it becomes a multimillion-dollar pipeline for illicit drugs, Ross is set on a collision course with Rick Bowden (Jason Clarke), a disreputable and dangerously unpredictable DEA agent, who will use any means necessary to take him down.

Movie was no where close to book. B level actors. Not one of 10 different story lines explored in depth. Complete misrepresentation of actual real world events.

The first hour is spent attempting to derogate the 50 million men that served in WWII. Roseanne Liang (director) and her feminist views bleed blue and through in this flop. Do not waste your time...the secret is Chloe is carrying one of the pilots baby to safety (oh, and there’s some creature tinkering with the plane the entire movie???). Hhhhhoooorrrrriiiiblllleeeeee!!!!!
  • Worth watching! Good (mostly true) plot.

I have been following this case for a while and this movie is “somewhat” close to what actually happened in the case. The documentaries on this case NEVER EVER mention the DEA being a crook. I’m not sure if that part is true. After you watch the movie, watch the documentary.
