Description

Back in 1983, Tampa, Florida’s SIREN was set to take over the world of heavy metal. But when a string of bad luck, shady business deals & inner politics led to the band’s demise, the members gave up their dreams of being rock stars and embraced lives in the real world. However unbeknownst to them, over the ensuing decades SIREN amasses a sizable fan base overseas. And 35 years after their breakup, an obsessed fan tracks them down and offers them a slot at the Keep It True Festival...one of Germany’s biggest annual heavy metal gatherings. After much soul searching SIREN put aside their animosity to reunite the band and embrace their last chance to make their rock n roll dreams come true! It isn’t easy being a 50 something part time musician trying to navigate the airports, highways, social media and stages of the modern day. But with lessons learned, friendships rekindled and dreams reborn, SIREN becomes young again as they experience this heavy metal fairy tale for the ages!

I really enjoyed this movie. Everyone who has picked up an instrument has had even a brief dream of the adoring fans and screaming crowds. And to watch these guys get a chance to capture that dream, even briefly, after 35 years, was a lot of fun. Well worth it.

Old guys can still rock. Amazing true story about a band coming back together by popular demand, and the demand is now growing. I hope to be saying someday soon that I knew of couple of 'em when they were just working stiffs at my office!

I am always interested in a band’s story, and the road they travelled to get where they wanted to be....or didn’t want to be. This metal documentary give insight from a personal perspective about their journey. Having lived in Brandon FL in the early 80’s, I had heard of Siren but really didn’t know anything about them. This movie answers all the questions. Watched it twice already.

This was a great documentary to see, especcially for someone who grew up in Brandon, FL during the height of the local 80s metal scene. I was also a student at Todd Grubbs School of Music while this was happening and recall some conversation about the trip and the show, but had no idea about all the events and circumstances that led to it. Do yourself a favor and check this out!

No seriously this is such an awesome story! We all had dreams when we were kids some of us were lucky enough to fulfill them but most of us had to abandoned them and to see these well no spoilers. This is a $10 movie all day long and you’re getting it for like I think $7 bucks. You don’t have to be a metal head to enjoy it. Keep rockin’ fellas! 🤘
