There is an avant-garde component to it and the attempt to being different. However, what seemed promising (preview) turned out to be boring. Sorry.

Which I finally admitted to myself about halfway through it, and stopped watching.

Beautifully filmed and atmospheric, there were a lot of good things to appreciate about this movie, however, overall it was just bland. The narration and fairy tail aspects felt cliche, and overall were used to lazily explain things that would have been better shown to the viewer. The voice over takes you out of the moment, and instead of adding to the story, pulls you from it, and was completely unnecessary. This story tried hard to reinvent the Hansel & Gretel tail, but in the end gives up before reaching any truly groundbreaking potential.

I waisted my money & my night on this insanely awful movie. If I could give less than one star, I would. It was hard to follow what was going on, it made absolutely no sense what so ever, it was boring, they spoke in weird language, it was just so confusing. The ending credits were the best part, because that meant this incredibly bad movie was over. DONT WAIST YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY ON THIS HORRIBLE FILM. I wouldn’t watch this movie again even if I were being paid to. That’s two hours of my life I won’t get back. I’d rather go to the dentist.

Watched the whole movie and was very disappointed! Not worth watching at all! The only horror was how boring it was! Dont waste your time on the horrible movie.

Boring, slow, terrible.

Could of been wayy better but it wasnt sooo bad. It definitely has its twists and can be intense at times. The writing could of been a lil better though.

Quiet, haunting and very watchable!
