Description

Low Low is a coming-of-age drama that finds four high school girls - Ryan, Cherry, Lana and Willy - navigating their last day of summer in a failing town. Beset by sex, drugs, and violence, what begins as a cautionary tale of misguided youth becomes a story of atonement. Ryan is desperate to pass her high-school exit exam, but in lieu of studying, she succumbs to peer-pressure and snorts cocaine, setting off a spiral that has her bombing the exam, barreling into a fist-fight, and partaking in a forbidden seduction with her mother’s boyfriend. But Ryan isn’t alone in this collapse; Willy, Lana, and Cherry are also forced to confront their own demons. Together they hit rock bottom. It’s here that their mettle - and their love for each other - is solidified. They will always be defined by their friendship. And as Ryan opens her exam results, she is confronted by a message of hope -- staring down at that one word: “PASS. ”

Definitely a must see! Loved that this is a coming of age tale based on women. I loved every bit of watching them tell their story on their own terms. Quality performances and quality film.

This film is a true indie gem. Wrtier/Director Nick RIchey delivers incredibly sure-handed direction on a powerfully written ensemble script for his debut feature. The casting is excellent- the four lead girls give grounded and moving performancesbut the supporting cast also offers noteworthy performances, the lead characters abusive mother for example. Even if youre not into drama as a genre or would be hesitant to watch a movie about four teenage girls for fear of not being able to relate, I'd still urge you to check out "Low Low"... it's a very universal human story of freidnship, struggle and coming of age that is incredibly well told and rooted in a contemporary reality rarely poretrayed with such grit on the big screen.

Low Low is clever, real, and convincing. It brings along Ryan’s journey and you can’t help feel all the feels. Excellent cast and ridiculous acting chops. This is one not to miss.

As someone who is not a fan of the “Drama” genre, I loved this movie. Such a powerful portrayal of a part of society we rarely get to see on the big screen. Highly recommend for anyone looking to tap into ALL of their emotions!

I had the pleasure of watching this movie in the theater on the night it premiered. This movie featured an outstanding cast and a well written script. I laughed, I cried and I felt the emotion of every actress. The movie reminded me of how hard it was to be a teenage girl and how important it is not to judge other women. I loved how each female in the movie had a strong role and they were portrayed in a positive light. I highly recommend this movie. Every seat was filled at the premiere and ended in applause from the audience.
