A movie about life and the pain it brings, and the scattered joy it sprinkles like pixie dust sometimes. Don’t think I’ll forget the film ever, or the song it ends with.

The Delinquent Season brings a whole new meaning to the term “star-crossed lovers”. Yvonne (Catherine Walker) and Chris (Sherlock’s Andrew Scott) struggle to keep their relationship from becoming stagnant in the eyes of their friends while juggling their own personal issues. The Delinquent Season reminded me that not everything is as perfect as it seems on the outside. I loved the sense of family that the film reinforces every time Chris interacts with both of his daughters. The film does a fantastic job of exposing the raw nature of relationships and how the journey is not always filled with sunshine and rainbows. The Delinquent Season is the perfect movie to remind us that every person faces their own unseen challenges.

I stumbled upon The Delinquent Season the other day and was impressed with this Irish romantic, drama. I normally don’t like movies about affairs but this movie was a lot better than the rest because it felt more realistic and sophisticated to me. The acting was heartfelt, and I could really see the emotions the characters were having. It felt very real. I recommend seeing this film, as I will definitely be watching it again.

The Delinquent Season is an absolute rush of emotions. In this Irish romance drama you follow two individuals both dealing with troubles at home. They turn to each other for comfort and find themselves in this twisted bed of lies and guilt. From the fantastic and realistic performances to the deep and very well written subject matter this film hits you from several angles. If you are a fan drama filled romance films then this is the one for you. It is a very interesting ride of emotions and I highly recommend it.

The Delinquent Season is a dramatic romance movie about complicated marital relationships, and ultimately adultery. While Yvonne, played by Catherine Walker, and her husband start to have problems in their own marriage, she seeks comfort in the arms of her best friend’s spouse. With incredible acting and intricate situations this movie was very entertaining to watch and I would recommend it to anyone else who loves a good drama.

This movie portrays the every day-ness of life and how easily it can be upended. No one wins in this one. Great acting. I loved it.

Mark O’ Rowe’s new Irish film, The Delinquent Season, provided me with an intense drama that reminded me of the complications that could happen in a relationship. The movie is a blend of a thoughtful drama and romantic dilemma, being about two Irish couples that seem happy, but have many flaws within their relationships. Many problems arise as the suspenseful storyline of adultery unfolds throughout. I thought that the movie did a great job of displaying the issues of the two couples without being too dramatic. The acting was raw and productive; Cillian Murphy gives a memorable performance as one of the adulterers. A perfect mix of suspense and romance, this movie is a fine piece of Irish cinema.

The Delinquent Season provided me with some missing drama from my life. Writer/Director, Mark O’Rowe created such an intense and scandalous story, and I couldn’t wait to see the repercussions of the characters’ betrayals. I found it unconventional that the film doesn’t portray the fantasy of a hot steamy affair. The unglamorous sex scenes and the mild manner of the lead characters really made for a realistic picture of unfaithfulness. All in all, I think this film is a different take on an affair that many people would find intriguing.
