The cinematography, the story, the visual effects, the score, the costume design, the acting — this is what filmmaking is all about.

You know this is a sci fi movie, when Robin Wright essentially offers Ryan’s character a quick shag, and he says no. “What happens if I drink the rest of this…” apparently not much. But I get it, Ryan’s love interest is Ben Affleck’s old girlfriend, who is very cute, good for him. Story was slow, I had to scroll ahead 10-20 seconds, to get on with it…
  • A slow burn like the original

I very much enjoyed this movie. In my opinion this one is more accessible for audiences but I absolutely love both Blade Runner movies.

Let me start by saying that we didn't need a sequel to Blade Runner. That was my opinion when I first heard about the plans to make one, and it still is my opinion now. This movie clearly was an attempt to make money off the fact that the original Blade Runner became kind of a cult movie over the years and eventually made it onto many Best Movies Ever lists. If money was the primary motivation to get this movie made then it failed just as badly as the original. If the motivation was to release a movie that could do justice to the legacy while still being original and just expanding on the themes laid out more than 30 years earlier, then it surely succeeded. I just hope they lost enough money on this that they won't think about making any more sequels. Because, seriously, we don't need seem. We got lucky that this happens to be a really good movie, and I don't think lightning will strike twice.

Blade Runner 2049 review: When i saw the first Blade Runner it was epic not because of it's popular visual effects that were impressive and fantastic. Blade Runner follows the LPD officer Rick Dekerd (Harrison Ford) who has to find replicas that are romeing the furturstic city and Rick has to hunt them down alongside with Rachel (Sean Young) another replicant unlike no other. I had good expectations for Blade Runner 2049 for good reason the film was directed by Dennis Villeneuve who directed the 2016 masterpiece Arrival starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. I saw Blade Runner 2049 and it was a brilliant and masterfuly directed by Dennis Villeneuve. I like the look of this film i like that Dennis used orange color and sometimes a blue dirty world for the future city and that was impressive. I like the sound design also it was pretty tame at first but ever scene with the sound designs and music made it epic within. The visual effects um.. i had no problem with the visual effects i thought the visual effects were the same visual effects as the first one but both of these movies have great VFX work and brilliant cinematopgraphy. Either way Blade Runner 2049 follows LPD officer K (Ryan Gosling) a officer who keeps finding replicas and is hired for a case about a missing girl that was born from Rachel from the first blade runner. And Officer K also has to find Dekerd who has been missing for 30 years since the first movie. I enjoyed Blade Runner 2049 so much i would like to see another Blade Runner in the future and this time maybe they would try something new or add new storytelling like this one. Blade Runner 2049 9/10.

Just like the first Blade Runner I enjoyed 2049 very much. The movie is a beautifully shot and the cinematography is gorgeous, Hanz Zimmer did a fantastic job with the score as well. I give it a 5/5 personally, easily one of the best of 2017.
