Description

Broadcasting through a makeshift network of discarded televisions, KUSO is a shifting series of vignettes tangled in the aftermath of Los Angeles's worst earthquake nightmare. Travel between screens and aftershocks into the twisted lives of the survived. Blending nightmarish visions, animation and a shocking image of a distorted America, this is the daring debut from director Steve, aka renowned musician Flying Lotus. Delirious, provocative and darkly hilarious, KUSO is verbose with macabre, music, melancholy and unimaginable imagery. You won't believe your eyes, or your mind.

Watch the movie and you will realize visually it is disgusting but thematically all characters are emitting love for each other . Kuso dissects the family structure, love and humanity. It isn't war, violence or destruction. It is how people deal with events and how they believe those events changed them when they were that way all along. It plays on the idea that humanity wants an apocalypse to make their existence meaningful or tragic or to make the chaos of darkness of humanity make sense

Big horror fan here, and I love anthology style movies like this, but this ones a stinker. I get where some of these writer/directors were trying go, a lot of unsettling and creep, but the stories are just terrible. There's nothing that makes you want to keep watching besides the fact you paid actual money to watch it. Do a trial week of Shutter on Amazon instead of actually paying for this if you need to see it so badly...at least then you get other movies to watch to get the taste of rancid garbage out :)
