  • Good movie

The movie and the concept presented are good. But it certainly isn’t the best representation of the novel. The movie jumps from one point to the next in a very disjointed fashion and seemed to take the book and cherry pick the scenes that still told the story while appealing to the widest possible audience. Unfortunately context of the scenes seems to be lost greatly along the way as(despite having not finished the book)it seemed painfully obvious at times some scenes didn’t seem to fit together neatly. Still, the concept presented by both the book and film is sound and should be seen as a warning and a wake up call that technology is rapidly encroaching on and taking over our lives.

This was OK movie and not as bad as the reviews. But it felt like half of an idea and not a full thought out story.

I wonder why people would be so harsh on this film. It is far better than it is said.
  • BORING

Even Hanks, and Oswalt could not save this bomb of a plot. The storylie was nonsense. The Circle is alive and well, the ending did not even address the issues, it presented earlier. Watson is not a leading lady, she was great as an auxiliary actor; her best work was as Hermione Granger.

This whole movie has no interesting or tense moments of note (expect for one) and explores a concept that has been already been done in countless other movies. A waste of a great cast. Skip it and watch something else.
  • Really loved it some problems though

This movie was really good, it reflected us and the social media. The whole idea was really creative and original, but the thing is..... the ending was not satisfying. It gave us a disappointing cliff hanger, and their was this odd feeling of disgust in your stomach. And also, although the casting was great, some characters were just left behind and turned down toward the end. Like Ty, I thought he was going to be a second love interest after Marcer died (although they were probably just friends). This whole thing is a really major problem, so I’ll give it 4 stars. Buy, really, really great movie! Had a good moral and this could’ve been better off if it had a better ending.

Emma Watson has no personality, but worse, she's so unlikeable you can hardly watch this movie. She's probably like that in real life since she can't act her way out of a paper bag! My wife left after 15 minutes and I am SO sorry I wanted to the end...I can go on, but everything, I mean everything is terrible about this movie, and it ends even worse than I could imagine. Hanks, although a great actor, had a terrible part as well as John Boygne, who came off as someone that was an outsider and shouldn't be in this movie at all! Etc. etc. etc...
  • Not at all perfect, but...

As an entertaining, overall film, it falls a bit short. Some of the acting is bad, portions of the plot fall flat, and it feels rushed throughout. But 2.5 stars when Baywatch has over 3.5?!?!? Yeah, sounds about right. Regardless of how one views this movie, one can’t deny the message is clear, relevant, and honest. If you can look past a few relatively minor imperfections, this movie is actually good. It inhibits itself from great, but a message such as this couldn’t be more relevant and timely.
