Filmed over the course of three years, All This Panic follows Ginger and Dusty, sisters growing up in New York City, along with their friends and classmates as they navigate high school politics and coming of age in front of the lens. Director Jenny Gage and her husband, cinematographer Tom Betterton brilliantly caputure both the minutiae of daily life and the massive shifts that define this period of transition for the girls, who must hang onto the familiar and comforting aspects of their lives while jumping into the big, adult world that awaits them. Stunningly photographed, All This Panic is an intimate, nuanced, and lyrical portrait of the vibrancy of female youth.
