Description

Master filmmaker Raoul Peck envisions the book James Baldwin never finished, Remember This House. The result is a radical, up-to-the-minute examination of race in America, using Baldwin’s original words and flood of rich archival material. I Am Not Your Negro is a journey into black history that connects the past of the Civil Rights movement to the present of #BlackLivesMatter. It is a film that questions black representation in Hollywood and beyond. And, ultimately, by confronting the deeper connections between the lives and assassination of Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr., Baldwin and Peck have produced a work that challenges the very definition of what America stands for.

Look at who the slave merchants were, look at who voted against women's voting rights, look who opposed the civil rights act. All Democrats. This virtue signaling documentaries that hide the truth are worthless. Look into MLK Jr tru life history of academic cheating, rape and corruption. Malcolm X was murdered by his Democrat handlers. All this nonsense and historical invention do nobody anygood.

Thought provoking and distinctively honest. James Baldwin’s thoughts and observations are relevant today and provide insight into how young each of the greats were then, the challenges they faced and his relationship to each of them.

Ah reviews... It’s always the people that have never experienced a thing who are the first to tell you how the people who have should react to the thing. Great movie.

Some people say “same song and dance”... Well, that’s exactly what this is about. Equality and treatment. It’ll always be the “same song and dance” when the same music is playing. Awesome look into a well-spoken, thoughtful man. 5 Stars.
