I remember when CNN was reporting about the blowout at the bottom of the sea, I was volunteering at the Physicians Organizing Committee just to pass the time. That was summer, 2010 ...

This film hit all the right notes for me. I was interested in the story from start to finish, and genuinely enjoyed watching every second. A fantastic work that is both educational and exciting.

  • Not heroes

The heroes of this disaster were not the oil guys on the rig but the people who cleaned up their oily mess afterwards. This oil spill was an environmental travesty, it was preventable too, because of the shortcuts these men took. They were lazy, not heroic. The heroes are the people who cleaned up the oil for years and are still cleaning it up.

This is one of Mark Wahlberg's best performance! This might be one of the best disaster films I have ever seen! It was emotional, thrilling & it was easily on my list of the best movies of 2016!

Thank you for making this movie. The news coverage forgot about the 11 people that died or BP would like them to foget it. Plus the environmental damage. This movie shows the reality that leads to this disasters. The worst part is that BP hasn't made any changes to handling another oil spill. It's back to business as usual. The also had another blowout exactly like this one and it could have been prevented if not for the cover up. It's well documented in the Caspian Sea oil-rig the blow out preventor failed and then the news media failed the public by not covering the story. Great movie! Thankful they were able to pull it off!
