In post-war Greece a beautiful sponge diver discovers a sunken status of a boy on a dolphin and tries to sell its whereabouts to the highest bidder. An archaeologist, with whom she falls in love, spoils her plans. Excellent underwater sequences.

Beautiful to look at with fine performances by the entire cast, there is nothing missing from Boy on a Dolphin!
iTunes has provided a close rendition of that terrific wide screen beauty that makes this movie so fascinating.
Think on location documentary with great acting to boot!
Clifton Webb provides his usual fine and urbane performance and Sophia Loren looks striking! While also providing an excellent performance. Alan Ladd, while really to short for Sophia, holds his own and is convincing in his role. Fortunately the print being offered by iTunes now is very good quality and much wider then the trimmed version they formerly offered. I hope they fix this issue in some of their other offerings like Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo and North By Northwest that are both being sold in “trimmed to fit your tv screen” versions.
