Description

In this follow-up to his film BIGGER FASTER STRONGER, director Chris Bell turns his camera on the abuse of prescription drugs and, ultimately, himself. After witnessing friends and relatives face tragedy as they become addicted to prescription drugs, Bell sets out to explore the goals of pharmaceutical companies and doctors in this ever-growing market and asks how are they any different to back-alley drug-pushers? His journey leads to experts on the nature of addiction in our culture as well as to pharmaceutical whistleblowers that testify to the solely dollar-driven aims of pharmaceutical companies. As Bell learns more about the nefarious side of an industry he had been brought up to trust, he falls down his own hole of addiction, bringing a very intimate style and conclusion to this investigation.

Thanks to Chris Bell for revealing to the public what Big Pharma is really all about...MONEY and profit. Drugs have side effects and are very dangerous. More people make money from cancer than people that have cancer. Wake up humans and think about what you are doing to your body. At least consider your diet and exercise lifestyle. May God have mercy on us all. Stop advertising drugs-not helping humanity to thrive. Yes, that is correct-I want to see all drugs legal. THINK about it.

Really good documentary. Kept my attention the entire hour and a half. Wish he would have expounded more on the cholesterol statement, that was really interesting. The talk with the ex-pharmaceutical rep was interesting too. Definitely rent this.

A must see movie for 2016 I wanted to hug the hell out of Chris ,Mark and their family for giving an amazing look at how not only it effects a family dichotomy, but the way big business chews us up and spits us out. The Bells struck gold again with this one and hopefully this will really put a strong driving force behind true change that is needed socially, medically and politically toward Prescription drugs and addiction.
  • So close to the truth it hurts.

Chris struggles with the idea that humans are addictive creatures and that we tend to replace one addiction with another yet he can not figure out why we are like this. He is on the cusp of understanding that humans are creatures made to worship the God of the Bible and when we are divorced from that we are made to worship we replace it with something else - be it success, drugs, sex - whatever. Not as good as stronger, faster but still a worthwhile watch as demonstration of how lost people are in the USA, a supposedly Christian nation.

Having followed the Bell family for a year or two now, this really gave some insight into what the family dealt with with Maddog. It opened my eyes to the problems of prescription drug abuse, and seriously struck me in the feels.

Another Great Documentary. Mike Bell knows best “It all comes down to the money in the United States.” Great Job Chris Bell!

We all know how screwed up healthcare is in this country, but at the same time a lot of us are uneducated about why it is screwed up. This documentary gives insight to one of the issues in healthcare with a look at prescription drugs and the industry that provides them to all of us. The numbers inside the movie will astound you.

Great follow up to BFS. Emotional throughout and made a lot of sense about big pharma and the every day people's addiction. Highly recommended and will watch again and again.
