Description

The backwoods of West Virginia are deeper, darker and deadlier than ever in this all-new chapter of Wrong Turn! The cutting-edge terror continues when a small town hosts the legendary Mountain Man Festival on Halloween, where crowds of costumed partygoers gather for a wild night of music and mischief. But a killer celebration soon gives way to a blood-soaked feeding frenzy when an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals trick and treat themselves to a group of visiting college students who are just dying for a good time...

The only reason I'm giving this horrid movie two stars is because of the fact that these movies know they're terrible; they don't take themselves seriously (except for the first Wrong Turn… kinda) and after the second movie, they were being made for fans only. So if you watch this thinking it'll blow you away with an amazing plot and/or good actors, you'll be highly disappointed. And that's about all of the positives things in this movie. Now for the negatives: 1. The acting is HORRIBLE. 2. This movie has nothing to do with taking a "wrong turn." 3. Just like the third and fourth installments, this one's special effects aren't good. 4. This movie is cliche-paradise with some of the stupidest characters I've ever seen in a horror movie. Would you really go outside by yourself while the power's out throughout the town with absolutely no weapon to protect yourself? 5. ABSOLUTELY nothing is resolved at the end. 6. The ending shows no sign of this series' conclusion; I have a very strong feeling that there will be a sixth and seventh entry, possibly even up to a tenth movie. After a series has reached the third movie, it's pretty obvious that they aren't going to be any good (besides Harry Potter, Saw, Underworld, and Resident Evil). But if you're gonna have a movie night with some friends and you're looking for something so bad that it's fun, look no further.

You know this feeling when you are skeptical about a movie because there are mixed reviews some good and some bad so you eventually rent it hoping it would turn decent? Well trust me this movie is not one of them. The movie is terrible by all means, a waste of time in a bad way.

So if you like all of the other wrong turn films than you will definitely love this one. It does exactly what it's supposed to do which is show some good ole fashioned gore, blood and over the top kills and it does it very well. Don't expect these films to be deep or to have a complex storyline but rather a really fun slasher film. The production value is really good for the type of film it is and it sticks with the creepy hillbilly characters that we have seen in the last wrong turn movies. The kill scenes are some of the best I've seen yet and completely over the top which is what I want from these films. The set was a little cheesy in that the small section of town it is filmed in looks every bit like the soundstage town it is. It really looks fake in several of the scene where you see them running down the streets but hey what do you expect from a medium budget horror film. All in, this is a lot fun like the other films done before this one in the series and it's worth every penny of the rental and purchase price. Well done again!
