Description

We Are Skateboarders is a 'as real as it gets' documentation of the soul of skateboarding, and how some of the legendary skateboarders feel its soul has changed over the years. Since the mainstream has come to play a major role in the skateboard industry, there has been much dispute amongst skateboarders if skateboarding is loosing its purity and status as a core activity. The film tackles this issue with enlightening interviews from famous skateboarders such as Lance Mountain, Greg Lutzka, Rob Dyrdek, Peter Smolik, and Christian Hosoi, creating the most legitimate discussion towards the controversy in the skateboarding industry. Shot in Los Angeles, and NYC.

Really interesting to watch skaters have to learn (and come to grips with) the fact that once you start earning money at something, you then they have to learn to separate your art from your business. This is something that musicians and other artists have always struggled with. It's pretty obvious that not all them can do that, so this very interesting to hear what they have to say and how they think of things.

I dont know what the guy who gave it one star was talking about. This is an amazing documentary that goes SUPER in-depth about skateboarding. If you skate, buy this right now!

Very disappointing! This video is mostley a bunch of old men that smoke weed and drink everyday and are just mad because now days it actually takes some athleticism, detection and hard work to skate and progress. They had some good points but mostly a bunch of bitter old men and nobodies. if you want the soul of skateboarding save yourself the money and just watch Rodney Mullen's slapstick interview.
  • Worth the buy

Great film that gives a different outlook on where skateboarding was, is now, and is going.
