I love this musical, and have for years, along with the book it is based on. It's an amazing score and some very talented singer. I would give it five stars except Nick Jonas kind of ruined it for me. Otherwise it's good. Glad to see they've made this concert edition available online.

This edition of Les Mis has got to be in my top 3 versions I’ve ever seen. Samantha Barks as Eponine is utterly amazing and that’s not even the half of it. Javert and Jean Valjean are epic as well! This is a must see!!!!

Quite literally the best version of the musical ever to roam this earth. Everything about this show is amazing. It’s what got me hooked onto the music and the story. This will always be my favorite and nothing, not even Hamilton, will ever surpass it. I literally memorized the entire show.

The vocal talen for this concert rendition was almost as good as the 10th Anniversary cast, except for the baffling addition of Nick Jonas. He is utterly outclassed in vocal range and projection by even minor characters. His notes are thin and he clips them all so short I kept wondering if he was afraid his voice would break.
  • Sounds different from DVD

I watched both the iTunes version and the DVD version, and the iTunes copy’s audio sounds like it has a lower pitch. This is especially noticeable during the play-in for “At the End of the Day” and during the final reprise of “Do You Hear the People Sing?”. Not sure if it was an issue on Universal’s end or Apple’s end.
